Apprenticeships

APPLICATIONS FOR OUR 2025 APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME ARE COMING SOON!

Why choose an apprenticeship with us?

At NG Bailey, we recognise the importance of having apprentices in our workforce. We welcomed our first apprentice in 1934, and continue to train and develop apprentices 90 years later.

We know the opportunities apprenticeships can create, the value they bring to a business, and how they are helping to shape the future of the construction industry. Apprenticeships are open to all, no matter what your age or background, often making an apprenticeship the best option if you’re looking to change your career or upskill your role.

Our industry-leading approach develops the behaviours, skills, knowledge, and experience our apprentices need to build a successful career. We work in partnership with a national network of colleges to offer some of the best training in the industry.

As one of our apprentices, you will be fully supported throughout your programme with us. Our apprenticeship development team is there to make sure you get the best out of the business, and the business gets the best out of you.

What apprenticeships are available this year?

This year, we have apprenticeships available across the business, with roles based as far north as Perth and as far south as Plymouth. Each of these roles will support either our Engineering, Group or Services divisions. We have over 60 roles available, and they will be released in phases over the next two months. Follow us on social media to keep up to date for when roles go live.

YOUR APPLICATION JOURNEY

Meet our apprentices

As an apprentice, your role incorporates a variety of different tasks, activities, and projects, so it’s likely that no two days will be ever the same.

By working with different departments and people across our business, it allows you to gain a better understanding of what we do, develop the skills and qualities relevant to your role, and build key relationships with others.

We’ll let some of our apprentices tell you more about their experience:

Out and about with our apprentices

Jacob Sulkowski, Network Cable Installation apprentice, IT Services

Meet Jacob who is one of our first-year Network Cable Installation Apprentices. He works within our IT Services team, where connectivity is key, ensuring communications infrastructure is installed and maintained to a high specification.

We join him on one of his projects to find out more about his role, why he chose an apprenticeship and what advice he’d give to budding apprentices.
