Last week, NG Bailey won the Engineering Company of the Year Award at the National Centre for Diversity’s Grand Awards 2017. The awards took place at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.
This award is presented to the highest ranking engineering company on the National Centre for Diversity’s Top100 Index of UK organisations working to improve fairness, inclusion and respect in the workplace. At number 71 on the list, NG Bailey was delighted to accept the award.
Rob Smith, NG Bailey’s Group HR Director quoted:
“Our people make us who we are and are what makes us special as an organisation. We are thrilled to win this award as we see the true value that diversity brings to us as an organisation. We are committed to becoming a more inclusive organisation focused on embedding fairness and respect in everything we do and being much more representative of society as a whole.”
The awards dinner was the final event in a packed schedule for the National Centre for Diversity with their annual conference taking place that day. NG Bailey’s Head of Group Learning and Development, Frank Clayton, was one of a number of speakers invited to talk about the approach their businesses are taking in this important area and to share examples of best practice.
